Peter A. Cooperrider, M.D. began Laser Treatment Centers, Inc. in 1993, when lasers were in their infancy. His mission has been to bring the latest laser technology from around the world to the Puget Sound region, helping to test and refine it, teach other doctors, and give his patients the benefit of this technology.
Since laser treatments are his specialty, there are approximately twelve lasers or intense pulsed light sources in his office. These are being used every day for facial resurfacing (ablative), facial rejuvenation (non-ablative, which means no injury to the skin and no down-time), rosacea and facial vein treatment (Fotofacial), hair removal, vein removal (face and legs), tattoo removal, and birthmarks.
Dr. Cooperrider's special interest for the last 10 years has been to develop new laser and high tech skin treatments. He makes a point of obtaining new and promising machines often months or years before others do. Anti-aging creams:
Dr. Cooperrider is launching his new line of anti-aging "Evolving Cream" just for his patients. The plan is to continuously improve on the initial formula of proven anti-oxidants and growth factors as newer nutrients become available, and to price it very competitively with existing commercial products on the market.
Radio Frequency Energy for skin rejuvenation:
Laser Treatment Centers, Inc. offers TWO of the new Radio Frequency, RF, lasers. The Thermage RF laser offers non-surgical technology that can tighten and lift sagging skin on the face and neck. This has never been possible before without plastic surgery (facelift, browlift). Its advantage is that it can penetrate deeply but gently into the facial skin to have its effect, without the need for surgery or recovery time. When combined with gentle lasers or Fotofacial treatment to clear up sun damage, in three months you will think that you stepped out of a time machine!! The Aurora is a combination of intense pulsed light and radiofrequency energy. The treatment is called Fotofacial RF. It is similar to the Fotofacial treatments that we introduced to the Northwest several years ago, in that it improves rosacea, facial redness and veins, brown spots, and sun damage, but the radiofrequency energy also goes deeper into the skin to help fine wrinkles and lines to smooth out.
