M. Sean Strother, M.D. is a graduate of Louisiana State University School of Medicine. He completed his Medicine internship and Dermatology residency at the University of Washington Medical Center, where he was the Chief Resident in Dermatology during his final year of training. He is a Board Certified Dermatologist who has been in practice in the Seattle area since 2001. Dr. Strother is a member of the national medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha and primarily focuses on medical and surgical dermatology.
In addition to his medical training, Dr. Strother received a master's degree in Entomology (the study of insects) from Louisiana State University prior to entering medical school. He has co-authored several chapters concerning skin problems caused by "creepy crawlies" and is frequently consulted by other local dermatologists regarding this fascinating area of dermatology.
Dr. Strother enjoys teaching and is on the clinical faculty of the University of Washington Medical Center. He teaches in the dermatology clinics at both the University of Washington and Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center. His love of teaching is evident, not only in his commitment to training new physicians, but in his approach to helping his patients understand their particular skin problems and the treatment options available to them.
